Remote work is gaining in popularity.

Those of us in newer generations (the oft-maligned millennials!) are unwilling to work the way their parents were - and for good reason.

Gone are the days where we HAD to work in unhealthy environments with unhealthy people, sitting for days on end with a boss breathing down our neck, set times for tea and wee breaks, and an inability to thrive - or really get anywhere at all.

40 years, a Rolex, and a certificate of participation just doesn’t cut it for us.

So how does affiliate marketing actually work?

You find a product or service that:

• Aligns with your values, and 
• Is needed in the marketplace (something people are frothing for. There’s no point selling something that’s unproven, right?)

The company, organisation, or brand that created the products you’ve chosen to align with gives you a uniquely coded link that is yours and yours only. 

When you share this (in one or multiple creative ways I’ll share with you), and someone uses it to purchase the product, you get paid. 

It’s a win for everyone. 

Here's how we all win:

COMPANY: reaches a customer they otherwise wouldn’t have - thanks to you. 

CUSTOMER: buys a product they want, love, and need - thanks to you. 

YOU: get rewarded financially for making the sale happen. You’ve probably done it before without being paid. 

Have you ever recommended your hairdresser to someone because they’re awesome? 

Or that new moisturiser that made your skin glow? 

It comes naturally. We want to share our experience with others.

And the epic thing is, now you can be paid for it. Handsomely.

The best part?

There’s no need to: 

• Build your own website
• Create your own products
• Handle refunds
• Do customer service
• Make sales calls 
• Have coffee meetings
• Rent premises
• Pay utilities and overheads
• Keep inventory

Or do any of the tedious things that take you away from doing what you love.

Over the years, I've discovered a few tiny adjustments that will dramatically increase your ability to earn a solid income.

And in the next seven chapters, I will share them all with you.

Most people go wrong in affiliate marketing because they: 

• Choose a low ticket product and have to hustle
• Choose a product with a low commission percentage
• Don’t know how to market their offer effectively
• Give up too soon
• Try and go it alone

SECTION 3

How to set yourself up to win at affiliate marketing

STRATEGY #1

Choose a high ticket product or service.

Why earn small commissions when you can earn high commissions for doing the same amount of work? 

Don’t get me wrong - I’m NOT talking about ripping people off or selling products that aren’t worth the price tag (there are plenty of charlatans already doing that!). Instead, you'll find products you're excited to promote!

If your goal, for example, is to earn $10,000 per month, how would you rather do it…?

Anna - chooses a low ticket product (book, oil, lotion, powder), which sells for $50 and she makes $20 per sale. She needs to sell 500 products to earn $10,000 per month. 

Lisa - chooses a high ticket product (digital courses, high-level health technology, education, software), which sells for $5,000 and she makes $1,000 per sale. She needs to make 10 sales to earn $10,000 per month.

It’s a no-brainer, right?

Yes, it’s possible to sell low-ticket items successfully, but the odds are stacked against you unless you have thousands of followers, or a large network.

Better yet, imagine the leverage you are able to create when selling high-ticket items to a large network?

How many sales would it take for Lisa to make $1 million?

• Low ticket - 50,000 sales
• High ticket - 1,000 sales

High ticket sales are where it’s at.

Most people want to be a millionaire. They just haven’t thought about how they’re going to get there.

Now, you have the roadmap.

STRATEGY #2

Choose a product that pays a high commission percentage

It’s no good selling a high-ticket product or service unless the commission split is worth your while. 

Let me lay this out for you…

You could choose to be an affiliate for a luxury hotel chain and receive commission each time someone uses your link to book their stay. 

Usually, the commission rate on such a partnership would be between 1% and 10%, which means on a $1000/night room, the commission would be somewhere between $10 and $100.

How many nights would you have to sell to make $10,000 per month?

The answer?

Between 100 and 1000 nights a month.

Every month.

How many followers would you need to do that? 

Let’s just say, a lot. 

So what’s the answer? 

My hot tip is to focus on digital offers, where you receive 30-80% commissions (sometimes multi-tiered and lifetime legacy - I’ll share more about that when we chat!).

Products like digital courses, software, services, education products, and health technology products that combine both a high-ticket price tag WITH a high level of commission are the game-changing formula. 

How to find such products? 

Luckily, I can give you access to the high-ticket offer I leverage that has been proven to work and sell (I’m talking hundreds of millions of dollars in online sales), and that people want, love, and need (I’m talking as vital as water).

I’ll share more about that later.

STRATEGY #3

Learn how to market your offer in a way that is effective, scalable and leveragable

Sure, you can promote your offer for free - and I can teach you how to do this - by using invisible sales and marketing strategies through social media.

Don’t worry, I’m not talking spammy, icky inbox sales tactics that will make you and everyone around you want to vomit. 

You could start by sharing your offer with people that love and trust you. 

Though, truthfully, this will only be workable for a limited time, until you’ve either run out of new people to share with or the desire to keep doing that.

Lots of companies and offers promote this way as the only way to do business. 

Doing it this way means you need to continually network and meet new people which gets very old, very quickly (for them and for you).

Newsflash: It’s not the 80’s any more.

We have the internet.

And with it comes the most detailed, targeted form of advertising we’ve ever seen.

The most scalable way to build your business is via a personal brand (that's a fancy term which describes everything that makes you, you!) and advertising to the people that already want it.

It’s legit guilt free.

You’re not spamming anyone.

You’re simply providing them with the offer they’ve already been searching for.

And if you do it like a pro, they’ll be singing your praises because they’ll think the universe has answered their prayers.

Which it did! Kinda cool, huh?

STRATEGY #4

Make use of offer sequencing

Many people leave so much money on the table in their affiliate marketing business. 

They make one sale, do a happy dance, and then set out to find another human to sell to. 

This is so short sighted. It still involves transactional thinking. Let’s get smarter.

What happens when you leverage offer sequencing instead?

Well, you have a series of offers designed for different people at different stages of their journey, at different price points. You provide them with the right ones at the right time. 

Most of the time, this means they purchase more than one offer because they’re ready for that and it makes sense for them.

I leverage offer sequencing, which means I use a combination of offers at different price points to attract the right people.

Imagine if you were able to sell low ticket offers on the front end and high ticket offers on the back end to the most committed people from your audience?

The people who are ready for change, who crave what you’re offering them, and are willing to do the work necessary to create the life of their dreams?

Offer sequencing is the perfect way to do that.

And I can show you how.

Why leave money on the table?

STRATEGY #5

Commit to learning the skillset and developing a solid mindset

Would you see a doctor who learnt how to do surgery in a weekend course? 

Probbbbbably not. 

So why do you expect to learn the ins and outs of online business in that same timeframe? 

You could choose to teach yourself how to become an affiliate marketer by searching online and haphazardly throwing info together from different sources. 

You might get somewhere in 5-10 years. 

Or, you can fast track your success by developing a skillset and mindset that is unparalleled, gives you a strong foundation, and gets you there much quicker because you don’t have to overcome all the hurdles you will when you choose to go it alone. 

My key tip for you here is, find people who have mastered what you want to do and learn from them in a solid container focussed on implementation and outcomes. 

In the age of the internet, it’s all too easy to fall into the trap of, “I’ll duct tape my business together.”

The truth is, we can find all the information we need to build a successful business online for free.

The truthier truth is, most people fail when they go this route.

Why?

It’s always harder putting the puzzle pieces together alone.

When we dedicate ourselves to learning a craft, and place ourselves in the right place, at the right time, with the right information and the right people, our chance of success skyrockets.

Place yourself in the top 5% by learning from people who have travelled to places you want to go and are willing to take you there.

STRATEGY #6

Work with a community of like-minded people with the same vision as you

I spent many of my years online working things out for myself. 

Whether it was software, tools, techniques, or principles, it was lonely and tiresome going it alone. 

If you want the success you say you do, masterminding is essential.

You’ve probably heard you’re the average of the 7 people you spend the most time with, right? 

What do you think happens when you spend time with multi-millionaires?

Learning what they do every day.

How they spend their mornings.

What principles are non-negotiable in their lives.

And...how they got to where they are now.
